Jesus said, "Enter ye in at the strait gate: For wide is
the gate, and broad is the way, which leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the
gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:13-14. This is such a misunderstood
verse of scripture. Many read this verse and believe hell and death is conveyed in its meaning. I want to look at these 2
verses in a different light or understanding. This thought has been lying dormant in my spirit for a while, until today when
the father brought it to life. Just as a caterpillar must break free on it’s own out of the cocoon, we must find of
our true reality and identity in Christ. We must each experience every facet of Christ for our self. We must all partake of
the lamb. This verse of scripture can be seen in the Tabernacle of Moses and its fulfillment in all our experiences. The Tabernacle
was a portable tent with a wooden framework designed to give it stability. The entire sanctuary consisted of three
parts: Outer Courtyard, Holy Place and the Holy of Holies. The three entrance passages, the "Gate" into the "Court," the "Door"
into the "Holy" and the "Veil" into the "Most Holy," were of the same material and colors. This arrangement shows us a pattern
that God has established which relates to the number three. The Scriptures tell us several times that there are three yearly
festivals that required the attendance of all males (which speak of the Spirit) (Exo. 23:14-17; 34:18-24; Deu. 16:1-16):
Deuteronomy 16:16 "Three times a year all your males shall
appear before the LORD your God in the place which He chooses: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and
at the Feast of Tabernacles; and they shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed." (NKJV)
We will look at each individual part of the tabernacle as
it is fulfilled experientially in the life of a son. Each experience is a necessary part of our development in the Lord. The
Door is made almost just like the Veil. The three entrances (to the Court, to the Tabernacle, and to the Holy of Holies) (Ex
26:36-37; 36:37-38) all represent Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Jesus said to them, "I am the way, and
the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me" (John 14:6). Isaiah describes the “Way of Holiness.”
“And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over
it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor shall any
ravenous beasts go up on it; it shall not be found there. But the redeemed shall walk there“. (Isaiah 35:8-9). Three
ways, the "broad road," the "narrow way" and the "highway," are thus brought to our attention in the Scriptures. A prepared
people with a purpose in Christ are walking a new path in the kingdom of God. You will notice that the way is very different
from the highway. "The way of holiness" can be compared to the upper highways found in Metropolitan cities , while the highway
is the lower local line. The former is above the ground (earth) and dirt while the other is located directly on the ground
(earth). It is a clean way. "Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit." ." "The unclean shall
not pass over" this way. They shall neither defile it by their presence, nor influence those who journey upon it. This highway
leads to the Holy of Holies.
The Outer Courtyard
The Outer court is enclosed by curtains that was supported
on pillars. It’s shape was oblong and the entrance was on the east side. The tabernacle sanctuary stood in the western
half of the rectangular courtyard whose dimensions were 100 x 50 cubits (150 feet x 75 feet). The first vessel is the brazen
altar and it is found outside the Tabernacle. This vessel is made of brass which speaks of judgment in the Scriptures. The
second is the laver and corresponds to water baptism and the eating of the unleavened bread. The laver was also made of polished
brass. The priests washed their hands in the water from laver which came out of a spout at the base because their hands were
tainted by the blood of the sacrifice. It is important to note that these two vessels, the brazen altar and the laver are
NOT in the Tabernacle. These vessels are located in the Outer Court, under the natural sun. The experiences of salvation,
for which the brazen altar corresponds, and water baptism, to which the laver corresponds, are visible to the world. All other
experiences are internal and hidden from the world of men and is wrought in the secret places in the lives of men. In Passover
we were crucified and we died.
The children of Israel could enter the courts but only the
priest could go beyond and into the Tabernacle and ONLY the high priest could enter into the Holy of holies once a year on
The Day of Atonement. One stretch of the curtain that hung on one side was 20 cubits (30 feet) that was different. It was
known as the ENTRANCE gate. This 30 foot gate was the entrance. We will be looking at two more gates or curtains later on.
The entrance gate was 20 cubits (30 feet). This was the one and only way by which men and women could draw near to God. It
was the single entrance to the entire tabernacle. There was no other way in. "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not
enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber; but he who enters by the door
is the shepherd of the sheep." (John 10:1-2) "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before
me are thieves and robbers; but the sheep did not heed them. I am the door; if any one enters by me, he will be saved, and
will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and
have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." (John 10:7-11) In this passage,
not only does Jesus refer to Himself as the shepherd, but also as the "door of the sheep." in addition to Jesus describing
Himself as the door of the sheep and the shepherd "who enters by the door," the Book of Revelation describes him as a lamb.
So in this feast of Passover, this section of the tabernacle is known as the outercourt, here Jesus is known as the WAY by
which man can come to the father. Whether he is a priest carrying out his duties or someone seeking forgiveness, every man
had to enter by that one way. No one could enter by any other way except through this gate. This gate is spoken of by Jesus
as “the wide gate, and the broad way, which leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat” It
is through this gate that many go in and know Jesus as the Passover lamb. It is here in the Outercourt man learns it is by
justification he is free. Through this gate many find that is leads to the destruction of the flesh, for it is through here
every part of our human experience is put on the altar and burned. It is here that man experiences the death of the old man
Adam. Here the old man identity is destroyed in Christ.
The Holy Place
Moving on in our experience through the Tabernacle we come
to the first chamber called the Holy Place, it contained the Table, Lamp stand, and Altar of Incense. Only priests were allowed
into this section. This is our second experience known as the feast of Pentecost. Pentecost is also called the Feast of Harvest,
of Firstfruits, or of Weeks. Pentecost is the New Testament name, and is so called because Pentecost means "fiftieth." Pentecost,
celebrates the first-fruits of the wheat harvest. It also commemorates the outpouring of the Holy Spirit to the gathering
of believers in Jerusalem (Acts 2). Just as the Lord God in the beginning breathed into Adam’s nostrils the breath of
life and man "became a living soul, "even so the Last Adam who by virtue of His death and resurrection, is a ‘life-giving
Spirit’ (1Cor. 15:45) being the Last Adam breathed into the disciples the breath of spiritual life, and they passed
experientially from death unto life. Here in this feast everyone is invited to drink into God’s Spirit, and be baptized
with the Holy Ghost. In this new experience man is empowered for service. In the section of the tabernacle we learn of communion,
prayer and of worship and praise. Everyman coming through this gate will learn of his priestly duties in Christ. In this feast
we are baptized and enliven. Many will be content to dwell in this part of the sanctuary. Here we all believe the same things,
worship the same way, pray the same prayer and so it is a familiar road traveled. There was no door on the porch of the temple,
but there was one into the Holy Place itself which were made from cedar wood and were of a folding nature. It is a well worn
path and “MANY” there be which go in thereat. In this part of the Tabernacle the light is artificial (manmade).
The lamp has to be refilled constantly. There is always the need for more of God in this experience. This experience, however,
was not sufficient for it is just a down payment, a foretaste of the fullness to come. But even then we must go on, from Pentecost
to the greatest Feast of the Church, the Feast of Tabernacles or union LIFE.
The Holy of Holies
The second chamber is called the Holy of Holies. This is
a small room separated from the Holy Place by the Veil. This room measured thirty feet by thirty feet by thirty feet, that
meant it was a perfect cube. A golden chain protected the entrance into the Holy of Holies. This entrance was narrow for only
the High Priest alone can enter. Paul told us we have an great high priest which is Christ. "Seeing then that we have a great
high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high
priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without
sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."
Hebrews 4:14-16. [emphasis added]”. It is in this feast we experience oneness with the father, meaning Christ consciousness,
in whose presence we are. This oneness is liken to the intimacy of marriage between a husband and wife.
The Holy of Holies or Most Holy Place housed one piece of
furniture, the ark of the Covenant, with its Mercy Seat. There was no artificial light like the sunlight or lamp but
the glory of God is the light in the Holiest Place. There was no seat for man but here Almighty God sat enthrone in righteousness.
The Holy of Holies was sealed from view by a curtain ('veil'). The removal of this veil of the flesh (of separation) will
result in the Holy Place of TRUTH becoming the Holy of Holies or union LIFE a reality in us. Only the high priest could enter
this holy room, and he did so only once a year with bowed head, unshod feet, and bells on his skirt. on the Day of Atonement when he made the sacrifice for
the nation's sins. Now through Christ we have been given access into the Holiest Place. "Having therefore, brethren, boldness
to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and LIVING way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil,
that is to say, his flesh; and having an high priest over the house of God; let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance
of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the
profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)." Hebrews 10:19-23.
No human voice is heard in this temple, only the still small
voice of the father. Of this way Jesus said, “strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto LIFE, and
few there be that find it.” In this realm beyond the veil is absolute union life. In the feast of the ingathering we
are raised up and seated in heaven. The narrow way is the place of perfect harmony where man can live wherein is no conflict.
It is a state of mind where we are at peace with all men and we come to see everyman playing their role even as it fulfilled
in the their life. It’s the place where we recognize everyman is right where they are supposed to be, doing what they
are supposed to be doing and they will be there until everyone has come to unity. This way we can be at peace with all men
and allow them to be who they are without becoming a force in their awakening. For it will be everyman in his order (Outercourt,
Holy Place etc.). This awareness is brought to light by the father, in his time. Everyman candle will be lit by the father.
Tabernacles is a feast that few discuss because most are caught up with Passover (Salvation) or Pentecost (Baptism in the
Holy Spirit) experience. Only those whose eyes have been opened to this feast can enter into LIFE for it seems that the church
system does not yet recognize Tabernacles in the Scriptures and it is even as Jesus said, “few will find this life.”
Many are not finding this life in Christ because many have put it off for when they die. They do not realize that heaven is
a state of being and not some ethereal place in the sky. Jesus said he is the Bread of LIFE! In John 6:53 he said, "Verily,
verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood ye have no LIFE in you." This is just
what I'm saying. Unless you eat him get him totally inside get consumed with Christ you will have no LIFE in you. He is the
LIFE!
Like the fathers did eat manna in the wilderness. The Israelites
fed on manna every day from heaven when they were in the wilderness. They had to gather new manna everyday. This required
manual effort. If the manna was a day old in the wilderness it bred worms and spoiled. "he who gathered much had nothing left
over and he who gathered little had no lack...and Moses said, 'Let no one leave any of it til morning. 'they did not heed
Moses...and it bred worms and stank..."(Exodus 16:18-20). Unlike them we have a constant flow, an inexhaustible supply available.
. I'm not talking about communion here of a little cup of grape juice and a dried up thin wafer. I am speaking spiritual realities
of a higher order of LIFE. I'm talking about being consumed with Christ. In other words the Feast of Tabernacles is a total
experience wherein Adam is dead and we have entered into union with the father. I am speaking total identity replacement.
This union then is a total identification with Christ. This union life has the capacity to produce men and women like the
Lord Jesus Christ. He reveals this truth about himself. He was God manifest in the flesh. " He that hath seen me hath seen
the Father," was his answer to Philip. Behind the veil is absolute life in Christ, that God has felt, "if haply they might
find Him."; now waits to manifest Himself in fullness to those whose memory he has stirred. He now stands within us declaring
“ I AM THE WAY.” He did not say, come to me and I will show you the way. NO, he said, I AM the way and so if we
are to express the glory of our true identity that is Christ, we must become what he is, because he said I AM, is the only
way to declare that glory. And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way (LIFE), walk in it," when
you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left. Isaiah 30:2. I trust this word has been a blessing to you. Freely
you have received, freely give.
Namaste,
Winston & Sarah
