This is a story about David who is a type of the sons of God watching the
transition from one state of being to another. Many write about it, some talk about it while others are experiencing it. Still
yet many are standing on the threshold of this new order of life because they cannot separate the illusion from the reality.
It is not enough to desire this; there must be a moving out of the old into the new to fully experience the ascension to the
throne (Christ consciousness).
Jonathan was the son of Saul. Saul is a type of the natural or physical man
while Jonathan his son speaks of the mistaken identity. We need to understand that flesh and blood and its mistaken identity
will never ascend to the throne of God. Nothing of the old will ever enter the new. Jonathan and Saul subdued the Philistines
but never conquered them (1 Samuel 31:8-11). The army or weapons of their warfare is carnal so they were trampled under by
the Philistines. The Philistine is a type of the five senses of the physical man. It is important to note that in the day
of battle swords were found with Saul and Jonathan only (1 Samuel 13:22) but not with the people. The physical man and its
altered reality cares for no one but self. The self thrives on consumption and lust.
The bible tells us that war never departed from the house of Saul. Saul is
a man of war; he lives in constant conflict, always at war within himself. Jonathan lived and functioned from the house of
Saul. He can never live under the rule of the spirit. The mistaken identity always tries to align with the spirit man but
will always return to the house of Saul. The lesson here is you cannot eat from the table of saul and the table of David,
this will only end in a war.
When David came along we saw a friendship developed between Jonathan and David.
In the development of this friendship, the bible tells us the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan
loved David as his own soul, then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he (Jonathan) loved him as his own soul (1 Samuel
18:1,3). This bond only happened while David lived under the roof of the physical man. This verse is filled with revelation
but it takes the mind of the spirit to see it. The friendship and bond was formed by Jonathan and not David. The mistaken
identity can never be joined to the spirit man.
Verse 4 tells us, And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon
him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and his bow, and to his girdle. The Adamic consciousness will
always seek the throne of God but will always come short of the glory of God. Jonathan even gave David his girdle. The girdle
speaks of his righteousness which the bible tells us is filthy rags. Jonathan did all this while David was still living in
the house of Saul under the rule and leadership of Saul. David will never ascend the throne of God while as yet Jonathan and
Saul are alive. We will never completely function from the Christ consciousness while the physical man and its mistaken identity
are still alive.
James tells us, A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. A double
minded man has two souls (minds) about his identity. He thinks he is mortal (physical being) and he thinks he is separated
from God (mistaken identity). As David began to desire the things of God, Saul became jealous of David. So David flees into
the wilderness, but Jonathan does not go along. The Lord stirred up the physical man so David has to leave that realm and
follow the leading of the father. David has to find out that his identity and existence is the Christ.
Jonathan stays in the house of Saul while David flees into the wilderness.
Jonathan is willing to love, give and make peace with Saul for David except make the sacrifice to leave his fathers house.
Understand the mistaken identity is one with the physical man. David can hear what the spirit is saying unlike Jonathan. Jonathan
tries to defend David to Saul, it is important to note Sauls reply, Then Sauls anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he
said unto him, thou son of the perverse and rebellious woman (soul), do not I know that thou hast chosen the son of Jesse
to thine own confusion (1 Samuel 20:13). The mistaken identity has a confused mind about his reality; he wants to align with
the spirit yet wants to stay with Saul (physical man). And so he goes back and forth from the house of Saul to the wilderness
where David is in waiting. Notice here David is just resting and waiting while Jonathan is restless.
Jonathan made a striking statement to David, And he said unto him, fear not:
for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee; and THOU SHAL BE KING OVER ISRAEL, and I SHALL BE NEXT TO UNTO THEE; and
that also my father knoweth. This is interesting for Jonathan thought when David ascended the throne he will be next to him.
Indeed Jonathan was mistaken to think he would enter the kingdom of God. Thinking and the thought process is a product of
the mistake in identity. If you think you are a son then you are not, you cant think you are you have to know you are!
After visiting David in the wilderness Jonathan returns to his fathers house.
Saul reigned for 40 years on the throne; the Philistines destroyed him and his son in the end. They never conquered them.
In the end both the physical man and the mistaken identity was hung on a tree. Paul tells us, Having abolished in his flesh
the enmity (mortality and mistake in identity), even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself
of twain (two) one new man (David), so making peace; and that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having
slain the enmity thereby (Ephesians 2:15-16). Paul goes on to say, Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the
holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say
his flesh (Hebrews 10:19-20). Understand our mortality and its altered reality will never enter the kingdom of God.
I want you to see not only Saul and Jonathan died, but Abinadab and Melchishua,
Sauls sons (1 Samuel 31:2). They speak of the affections and emotions of the physical man. Saul is dead and all that belong
to his house. Saul and his house will never live in the presence of God. Now we see David the new man ascending the throne,
he conquers the Philistines; the Ark of God (Mind of Christ) is now dwelling fully in the tabernacle (David) where it belongs.
The King is thirty years (a mature son of God) and the Lord has given him rest round about him from all his enemies (2 Samuel
5, 6, and 7). The new man is ruling and reigning on the throne functioning from his true identity which is Christ.
It is interesting in Chapter 8 we find those who are ruling and reigning with
David and Jonathan is not among them. 2 Samuel 8:15-18 tells us, And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment
and justice unto all his people. And Joab the son of Jeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder,
and Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were priests, and Seraiah was the scribe; and Benaiah the
son of Jehoida was over both the Cherethites and the scribe; and the Pelethites; and Davids Sons were chief rulers.
Understand the mistake in identity will never find its reality and existence
in the genealogy of God. This word of life is to the sons of Godwe must find our lineage in Christ. We must come to know that
our existence and reality is in the spirit, and our mortality will never be Christ like or enter the kingdom of God. We are
spirit being created in the image and likeness of God. We have the mind of Christ and in him we live and move and have our
being. We like David was called and purposed of God to ascend the throne of God in the fullness of time. To ascend the throne
of God you must know who you are. The book of Ezra 2:61-62 said, And of the children of the priests, these sought their register
among those that were reckoned by genealogy. God wrote a decree about our ancestry in the book of Genesis, find the decree
and you find who you are, for you proceed and came from God.
Let us walk as sons in whom the father is well pleased for it is his good
pleasure to give us the kingdom, a kingdom that is flowing out to all men.
Namaste,
