There is such misconception among Christian brethren regarding the book of Revelation and the word Apocalypse. The book of Revelation is ministered to the people of God out of fear. This book is not about the antichrist or a seven year tribulation to cause men to come to the father, neither is it about the devil and his army or a war in heaven. Paul said, The carnal mind is enmity against God and cannot comprehend the things which are of God. If you look for a devil, an antichrist or a war you will find one, all things are possible to him that believes. The book of Revelation is one of the greatest books of the bible for it speaks of Christ in all his glory reigning in a people perfected in the likeness and image of God.

Revelation 1:1, The Revelation of Jesus Christ. This verse tells us what the entire book is about. The word revelation is the Greek word Apokalupsis meaning the removing of a veil. A veil is there to hide that which is hidden. The Apocalypse is the unveiling of Jesus Christ. The book of Revelation and not revelations are being unveiled in a people, and the veil that hides the Christ is upon the mind of men. Paul said the veil is done away in Christ. The Christ is being unveiled as the seals are broken, the war has ceased for some in the heavenlies and those who dwell there are rejoicing as Satan is cast to the earth (lower realm). The earth (flesh) is being burnt up and a new earth is coming forth. The book of the life of the lamb is opened and men are reading the living epistles of God. Paul in Galatians 1:16 say, God called me to reveal his son in me. There is so much life spoken here for the child of God regarding his purpose and what the father is doing in his life, it is marvelous to behold.

So many is waiting to see the man Jesus appears in the heavens riding a white horse. The heavens spoken of are in the mind of man. The reality is he is being unveiled in the many membered Body of Christ. Paul said there is a mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations, but now is manifests (unveiled) to his saints which is Christ in you (Colossians 1:26-27). 1 Peter 1:13 say, Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. The book of Revelation is not a book about Christ but a revelation of the Christ in his body, whose body we are.

The apocalypse is simply a series of events being unfold in a people in no particular order for the purpose of revealing the Christ. The book of Revelation is hidden with symbolic language that the carnal mind strives over, yet its truth is still shrouded when it is read. When the apocalypse is fulfilled in us then Christ who is our life shall appear then we shall appear with him in glory (Colossians 3:4). His life is hidden within us and the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation (unveiling, revealing) of the sons of God (Romans 8:19).

For centuries creation has groan under the weight of sin and sorrow, but a new day dawns wherein creation will be set free from the bondage of decay and corruption. We who look for him he will appear a second time without sin unto salvation (Hebrews 9:28). Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10 says, Jesus shall be revealed from heaven in flaming fire when he shall come to be admired in all his saints. Only by the apocalypse (revelation, unveiling) can we know him even as he is known. We are seeing through a glass darkly now but the hour is upon us when we shall see him who is our life, God manifested in the flesh, justified in the spirit (1 Timothy 3:16).

We are witnessing the greatest season since the creation of man and all of creation is walking on tiptoe waiting for when that which is perfect is come (Romans 8:22-23). Let us look for him as a second time as he is revealed from heaven in us.

Namaste,
