Creation is groaning under the weight of sin and servitude to be released from the bondage of corruption. Noah is a type of us who has passed form death to life.  Noah who is a type of the new creation man who came across the Adamic consciousness into a realm of life out of which all reality flows. Everything of the old must come to an end before we can walk in the newness of life. Everything that Noah knew of the world of defect had to come to an end before he could walk in the newness of life, this is also true in our experiences. Ex.12:2 is the beginning of a new experience in new life for all men.

 

The book of 2 Corinthians chapter 5:17 declares, If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. Change is not complete because we confessed that we have entered in. There must be a moving out of the old, a shift or change in consciousness to the new. The ark represents for us the renewed mind. Although Noahs sons entered the ark some traits of the old creation came over with them. Christ must dwell consciously in us by the mind of Christ. Until this is a reality we will continue to walk and function from the old.

 

We are told to put on incorruptibility (mind of Christ) and the result is immortality (deathlessness).  Being corruptible has to do with the carnal mind. Paul aid to be carnally minded is death. To move from death to life requires a change (metamorphoo change from one state to another). The day Noah entered the ark and the door of the ark shut, all that was in the realm of the external died.

 

Gen.7:19 says, The waters lifted the ark above the earth, this is the renewing of the mind. This must be fulfilled in all men until the Christ consciousness dwells fully in all. The ark was lifted above the waters, and so Noah was raised up to a higher realm of consciousness (mind of Christ). From this point on he was led by the Spirit. Paul said, as many as are led by the Spirit, they are the sons of God.

 

Verse 20 the ark was lifted up 15 cubits and speaks of complete rest. Anything less than 15 cubits is not the rest of God. Fifteen  is 3x5. Five is the number of grace. Noah experienced grace on 3 levels. The fowls of heaven is a type of the thought process, the activity of the carnal mind. The ark speaks to us of the mind of Christ. The earth speaks of the realm of mortality. The mountain speaks of the sin consciousness. The waters are the word that is spirit and life that the father brings to us. As Noah built the ark his mind was being renewed (Gen.9:18-19). When he entered the ark he was functioning from the mind of Christ. Every beastly emotion, desire and drive that was in the ark was in subjection to him, because it is under the rule of the Spirit. Everything must come to us from the realm of the Spirit because it is our true reality and existence.

 

Gen.8:13 Noah removed the covering of the ark; this speaks of the unveiling of the mind of Christ. It was 8 people who were saved. Eight speaks of the new beginning of the creation man. As the waters (word of life) rises, the Christ consciousness is raised up in us and all that is in the realm of defect dies (Gen.7:20-21). This tells us that nothing of the old creation is worth saving. Gen.9:1-3 we see man is restored. We are not just forgiven but we are released from the Adamic consciousness having passed from death to life.  Noah means rest. We must learn to rest in the finish work which is the mind of Christ. God is calling things that are not in our lives, even though we may not see it. The things that are not are the things finished from the foundation of the world. Noah was crucified to the world and the world to him.

 

Noah became a husbandman and became intoxicated. Intoxication is an abuse of liberalism; in becoming intoxicated your nakedness will show. Let us look at Noahs children; Shem is derived from the Hebrew meaning to place or to put. Shem is connected to the heavens and declares the glory of God. He represents the true spiritual mind. Ham speaks of being hot or warm. It is an Egyptian name meaning black.  This is the mind that seeks godliness but denies the power thereof. His concepts are dark; it lacks light (illumination). The  carnal mind can never understand the things of the spirit for it is spiritually discerned. Japheth speaks being open, seeks enlargement, it is from the Hebrew word meaning to deceive, entice. His focus is on external things, he is building continually. The sons of Noah speak of all of creation.

 

When Noah walked out of the ark, he was the word made flesh (1 Cor.13:14-16).  We must become the living gospel or epistles to the world. The mind of Christ must become a reality in our daily life and living. The ark rested on a high mountain, which speaks to us of the highest heaven (a realm of the Spirit).  Gen.8:4 the ark rested on the seventh day. It rested in the feast of booth (tabernacles). We are seeing in Noah as the new creation man awake from death to life. We can only experience complete rest when the mind of Christ dwells consciously in us. When God began his creation from the old to the new, he gave to Noah the same promise he gave to Adam from the beginning, dominion and authority  (Gen. 9:1-3 ). Let us continue to walk in our experience function from the mind of Christ which is our true reality and existence.
