There is a wonderful and powerful truth, being made a reality
in us today, and that truth is we are one with the father. Think about that for a moment. This truth is full of life it permeates
our very being. I want to share with you a story that speak of union life with the father. This story is seen in the woman
of Samaria. We have heard this story on so many different levels of understanding, and all revealed a certain level of truth
to us. I am looking at this story on a different level of consciousness and understanding.
The story began with Jesus leaving Judea and departing again into
Galilee, and he must needs go through Samaria. It was necessary for Jesus to leave Judea (realm of the soil) and pass again
into Galilee (circle of life) as it was needful that he pass through Samaria ( meaning to protect, keep self, guard). Samaria
is a place of the keeping. Jesus came to Samaria with a purpose, to find a son who thought his existence and reality was his
to protect and guard. Verse 5 Then he cometh to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar (an intoxicant i.e. strong drink)
near to the parcel of ground Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Joseph is a type of Christ who received a portion above his brethren.
In this place one is overcome with things of the mind. Sychar is a state of mind, a place where the thought life is overwhelmed
trying to live and survive.
Now Jacobs well was there. Jesus therefore being wearied with
his journey, sat thus on the well, and it was about the sixth hour. Jacob's well is not mentioned in the Old Testament because
it is not a literal well. Jacob never dug a well, his grandfather Abraham dug the first well, and Isaac his father redug 7
wells. Understand the pattern of Jacob's life is seen in his experiences as he journeyed in life. John 4:6, Jesus therefore
being wearied with his journey is a very misunderstood verse of scripture. This verse should read Jesus therefore wearied
(labor, to toil) with journey. Sat (down in place and time) thus on the well, and it was the sixth hour. This is deep, in
all her working and toiling and laboring he was there, but the fullness of time came when he was about to bring her to the
rest of God. The reality of this verse is that the mind of Christ is at rest in us through all our labor, searching and toiling.
Jesus arrives and sits down on her well. The well speaks of her
mind, and he (the Christ consciousness) was there all the time. The word well is #4077/4078 through the idea of gushing, pumping,
and a fount i.e. source or supply, not necessarily the original spring or fountain. This is very important because it was
her source of supply, even though Jacob's well was not the original fountain of water of life, just as her mind is not her
original source of life and identity. We have the mind of Christ. Jesus came to this well at the sixth hour. The number six
speaks of man and his labors and toils. He came at the sixth hour of man labor, just short of the rest of God.
Then cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus saith unto
her, Give me to drink. He came in the hour of thirst, expecting a source of supply. This woman, a son of God comes to this
well to draw water. Now sitting on her well is the well of life. She came to draw (# 501 to dip water with a bucket) from
her well, she even had her own means of drawing water (# 5204 comes from 5205 meaning water as if a shower) from this well.
All she could get from this well was a shower; sooner or later she will experience a drought. A shower was simply a rainfall
of a short duration. A shower of short duration is not a spring. To draw from this well required manual labor and work. The
water in her well could not satisfy her thirst for long, so she came to draw on a regular basis.
Jesus said to her, Give me to drink. The word give in this verse
is in the active voice, signifying, to afford, provide, supply lit. To hold out or towards. In other words this giving also
carries the idea of receiving at the same time. She did not have enough for herself much less to share with someone else.
She replied, How is it that you being a Jew ask of me water to drink? The Jews have no dealings with us the Samaritans. She
was only seeing the realm of illusion and defect. She hasn't come to the realization that inside of her is a fountain of life.
The Jews spoke of the spiritual mind while the Samaritans speak of the carnal mind. She had no consciousness of the one sitting
on her well, was her true identity. The next verse Jesus told her, If you were aware (conscious), having perception of the
gratuity of God, and who is it saying to you, give me a drink you would request him and he would give you living water.
Gratuity is something given voluntarily or beyond obligation.
She didn't realize that all her answers to life circumstances were literally inside her, but she would come to know him even
as he (she) is known. She struggled daily, trying to live, to maintain her power and position, and so she found herself at
war within herself. Verse 11 she said, sir thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep from where then hast thou
living water. She understood he was not speaking of things her ears were used to hearing. She saw something different about
this one. He was speaking things and she was hearing a certain sound. She knew he has never drawn from this well before; this
water was not compatible with his system. She would come to know an infinite supply was her source. To draw from this infinite
supply buckets or pitchers was not necessary, this supply was ever flowing, and nothing could clog this well. Her well was
built by man and could not contain this life giving water which makes glad the city of God. Her well was made of earth. We
are the waterpots of God that are filled with all his fullness.
She is having a face to face encounter with her reality. She asks
him, From whence then hast thou this living water. This very question Mary asked the angel Gabriel, What realm or region come
this living water and word? This was an eye opener for her. She realized that the power of this water he was speaking off
did not come from the realm in which she lived, she had to draw from Jacob's well everyday; it lacked the life to sustain
and satisfy her thirst. In the next verse she asked him, art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and
drank thereof himself and his children, and his cattle? Jacob here is said to have drank from this well (mind) and fed his
children (affection) and his cattle (emotions, desires etc.). Jacob is the mind that is veiled to his true identity.
The next two verses, Jesus told her, any man drinks of the water
of Jacob's well will be thirsting again, yet the water I shall give him shall under no circumstances be thirsting for eon,
but the water which I shall be giving him will become IN HIM a spring of water, welling up into life eonian. When the words
that Jesus spoke to her became real in her, it brought peace, joy and assurance. She found that God was in the entire city.
She cried out and said, Sir, give me this water that I thirst not, neither come here to draw. We must come to realize that
all our seeking arrived or ends at finding our own identity and existence in him. This awareness will take the Christ out
of the realm of concepts and theory and make him a living reality moving through us and functioning as us.
Verse 16 is a profound verse and speaks life for all those who
will hear what the spirit is saying. Jesus said, go, summon (call) your husband and come to this place (Con. Cord. Lit.) He
gave her a command in a three word sentence, go, call and come. Go to lead forth (figuratively). Call (#5455 calling with
a clear voice, calling to come to one self, to take possession of as Christ calling Lazarus from the dead). Come (#1607 to
come forth (ek out of) as in sleep, stupor, state of drunkenness). Husband (#435 from 444 meaning countenance i.e. a human
being by implication, to discern clearly. Here the father was calling her out of her own world of illusion and mistake in
identity into her true identity. Her husband speaks of her own consciousness that was dead to her true reality.
He told her go (lead forth) and call (with a clear voice) your
reality and come (out of this state of sleep and stupor) your husband (consciousness) and come to this place. The place Jesus
is speaking of is the fathers' consciousness, and it is always ever present in us, everywhere and always available to us.
The woman answered (vs.17) and said, No husband have I. To which he replied, Ideally said you, a husband I have not, for five
husbands you had, and he whom you now have is not your husband. This you have declared truly. She was right she had no perception
of her true consciousness. She has five husbands; five is the number of grace or the favor of God. She received the favor
of God upon her life. This grace speaks of comeliness, goodly appearance, is also said of the outward appearance. She added
one more to the favor of God, making the grace of God of none effect by trying to improve upon the Christ in her.
She saw a lack in the external and thought it was inward. She
did not realize that the Christ in her was complete, lacking nothing, she could do nothing to improve upon the Christ in her,
she was perfect and all together lovely. Paul said, Being justified freely by grace. Freely is translated without a cause.
This verse should read, Being justified without a cause by his grace. When we come to the understanding that we are whole
and in need of nothing, that our supply is inexhaustible, it frees us to be who we are. Here at the well she met the seventh
man her true identity, and when reality breaks over her, my oh my what a change it brings, God and man is one. The number
seven being her true identity brought a freedom she never knew.
Verse 25 she tells him she is aware (conscious) that Christ is
coming. This awareness or consciousness that she is under is a dazed consciousness as in a hypnotic state. Now this is important
for us to understand. She as is all humanity is asleep in Adam and many like her is now coming awake in Christ, hence the
hypnotic sleep state. We heard many times that this woman had 6 husband and along came one more (6 +1=7) making him the perfect
husband. This is an error; we can add nothing to God too perfect him. He is already complete, having no lack. Here is the
reality, when 6 (man) met 7 (perfection) a marvelous union took place which resulted in oneness, the divine, perfection of
God. 6X7=42 the perfect generation of sons in their fathers consciousness. Her perception change indicating a greater awareness,
she began to talk about worship. He was bringing worship internal, showing her to worship is to become that which is worship.
Jesus was teaching her that we don't need a certain place or time in which to worship the father, but anywhere two or three
are gathered together that constitutes the Church in worship. Jesus had an assembly (Church) at the well in Samaria, it sure
beats Park and Seventh Avenue. Paul said, "for we are the circumcision, which WORSHIP GOD IN THE SPIRIT, and rejoice in Christ
Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh (mortality/Adamic consciousness)."
He was teaching her that worship is present state of reality.
God is spirit and those who are like him worship him in his likeness, being spirit and truth. He that is spirit is spirit.
Jesus was simply bringing to her remembrance her identity and existence. We can only worship the father in spirit. He was
raising her consciousness to a higher level. Verse 26 he says to her, I am he who am speaking to you. He literally told her
he was her true identity. He simply stated to her, I am you, speaking in you, as you. It was through his coming and the removing
of her old identity that her true identity was manifested. Then she leaves her water pot, which she struggled with every day
and goes into the city. The water pot speaks of her old identity and altered reality. As she left the old water pot, she became
a new water pot functioning from her true identity, she came to the city and saw the Christ in the midst of them all. She
was now a flowing fountain bringing life to all men. The purpose of her fountain was for the healing of the nations. Our water
pot is a family supply.
She brought the level of the Christ consciousness into the level
of human beings in the earth. From this story we can see the kingdoms of this world becoming the kingdoms of his Lord and
Christ. She was now one with the father, functioning from her true reality. Verse 30 she says, Is not this the Christ? The
disciples didn't get it. She now understood whatever she needed, was already living inside her. When we are fully functioning
from the Christ mind, there is no room for human input, we simply live and move and be. In order to see the Christ mind functioning
in us as us we must leave the old water pot, and begin to live out of the absolute life of God. That old water pot speaks
of the human existence, dream and concept that we think we are living in.
The woman of Samaria found after leaving her old water pot (old
consciousness) that her true identity the Christ was the living water she desired. The well of life was his presence, power,
peace, the cause and effect in her life, bringing a release to all men. She found that his grace was sufficient, it needed
nothing, and therefore it lacked nothing, because he hath perfected forever all men in Christ Jesus.
I trust that you will come to know him in all your searching,
as your true identity and existence in a greater way.
Namaste,
